LARC's staff is comprised of a dynamic, energetic and talented group of people responsible for getting numerous projects off the ground, keeping them going, and seeing them to completion. Please take some time to get to know us.
Mary Ann Lyman-Hager: Director
Mary Ann Lyman-Hager has served as the Director of the national Language Resource Center at San Diego State University and as Professor of French at San Diego State University since 1997.
John Vitaglione: Director of Multimedia Design and Development
John Vitaglione has extensive experience in multimedia design and development that has enabled him to produce LARC's professional quality materials.
Norman Léonard: Director of Outreach
Norman Léonard is the Community Outreach and K-12 Credentialing Director for LARC.
Atefeh Oliai: Persian Program Director and Lead Instructor
Atefeh Oliai is Native of Iran. Atefeh has been teaching since 1975 Persian and French and later English in the United State where she received her PhD from Madison WI.
Hanada Taha-Thomure: Arabic Program Director and Lead Instructor
Dr. Taha-Thomure earned her Ph.D. in Curriculum & Instruction from the University of New Orleans in 2001. She holds a a Masters Degree in Educational Psychology and a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the American University of Beirut.
Trevor Shanklin: Director of Lab Operations
Trevor Shanklin is an ESL teacher and teacher-trainer who has worked with teachers and students in many different cultural contexts and at all levels of education.
Marcia Ledezman-Macias: Information Technology Consultant
Marcia is the Information Technology consultant for the LARC Center and has been involved in the design and development of the LARCStar Project.
Christian Degueldre: Co-Director ADLP
Christian Degueldre is a Distinguished Visiting Professor in the Spanish and Portuguese and the European Studies Departments of SDSU and Program Head of the French Department from 1988 till 2001, Graduate School of Translation and Interpretation at the Monterey Institute of International Studies.
