Ghada Osman earned a Doctor of Philosophy in History and Middle Eastern Studies from Harvard University in June 2001. The focus of her research and title of her doctoral dissertation is The Christians of Late Sixth and Early Seventh Century Mecca and Medina: An Investigation into the Arabic Sources.

Nora Strejilevich: Assistant Professor of Spanish

Nora Strejilevich is Assistant Professor in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at San Diego State University. As a survivor of Argentina's "los desaparecidos" (the disappeared), Professor Strejilevich has devoted her time to area studies that include human rights and authentic language materials of the Argentine "Dirty War" era.
