LARC's People
The strong nexus of associated LARC collaborators, and the institutional support LARC receives, make our projects achievable and most likely to succeed. Each thematic area has a dedicated LARC administrator and two national advisory board members responsible for monitoring the progress of the four projects related to the area. Graduate students are also funded for thematic area projects through the College of Arts and Letters and LARC funding. Our projects capitalize on progress made by others by including nationally known experts and consultants in each thematic area and by seeking collaboration from other centers when we learn of overlapping, mutually productive interests. New alliances allow LARC faculty to create system-wide responses to the need for instruction in LCTLs and for foreign language teacher education programs, including distance education and multimedia technologies. LARC pursues the goals of each of its thematic project area with teams of dedicated staff and faculty.
